CKLL Tournament Bases

In this page, you can see the CKLL  (Cockatrice Legacy League) Bases.

Introduction

This Introduction wants to expose the idea of the creation of this league, with its objectives.

The decision of making this league comes by the lack of Important Tournaments in Cockatrice, in contrast with the program Magic Online. Another reason is love for this art and play leagues. In addition, we can promote Magic the gathering and Cockatrice.


The Objectives are to organize tournaments with more frequency, and to make more frequent in Cockatrice. Secondly, promote the game in this program. Finally, improve the skills of the players of Cockatrice.


I must say that this league can count with any registered played of Cockatrice and this league is free, only if the games are played in Cockatrice. The rules must be respected in all moment. The format to play is Legacy (obviously).We want a familiar atmosphere and have fun.

and validity of this.

Chapter 1: Organisation

The organisation of this league, is in charge of Cockatrice players with no profit motive in mind. The group of players that promote this initiative, are the players of the tournament and the organizers. 


Any person of Cockatrice is welcomed in the league.

The People that helps in the organisation of the CKLL, or plays in the CKLL; will count with the support of the Cockatrice Staff and the CKLL Staff.

2. Tournament Structure and Calendar

2.1. Tournament Structure:

All Torurnaments of the CKLL, will be no-sanctioned, but It will use the program DCI Reporter.

The league has a regular phase with 7 tournaments (one per month), and an invitational final. In the invitational, the competitors will be the players that achieved one topx in the regular phase. The Username's players that could play in the final will be announced at the end of each regular phase's tournaments. The final doesn't have limits of competitors.

2.2. Calendar:

The Regular Phase's Tournaments will be played on the 2012. The torunaments will be divided in swiss rounds, that must be played one per week. The topX is similar, it must be played in one week. The Regular  Tournaments are followed, but i will give one or two months to rest.

2.3. Side of the torunaments:

As we said in the main page, this is the main site of the torunaments, beside the program Cockatrice. In this page we will post the swiss rounds, the single elimination, and the results. All Championships, must be played in Cockatrice. Is Prohibited play it in another format.

2.4. Inscriptions:

We will give one week, or if it is necessary two weeks, for doing the inscriptions. The inscripitions are free, so you don't have to pay nothing. In the inscriptions, you must give your Cockatrice Nickname, Email, and your Location (only if I can't see your Location in the Main Room). We are thinking about a preinscription.

3. Tournament's Format. 


The CocKatrice Legacy League will have a namelist that will be update after each Regular Torunament. In this Blog, we can follow that.


At the end of each Regular Phase's Tournaments, I will give a namelist of the topX that can participate in the final. At the end of the Regular Phase, all of the players that achieved al least one topX can participate in the final; and the list will be closed.


The Tournaments will be swiss pairings with topX. I need to say that the topX is needed to give the prizes.

3.1. Regular Phase

We will celebrate 7 Tournaments. In 2012, this tournaments are followed, after a week to join in the next edition. The Tournaments are individual. We will have two Champions: The Champions per accummulation of topX; and the Champion of the Final. We can have 2 or more champions per topX if it was necesary.

3.2. The Final Invitational


The final will be a Private Tournament. The competitors that achieved at least one topX in the Regular Phase will be invited to play it. This Tournament needs a previous inscription. At the end of it, we will have the Champion of the Final of the CKLL of 2012.

4. Prizes

The prizes will be the invitation for the final phase, photos that the top will want to have, and the inclusion of his/her username and his/her decklist in TcDecks, the best page of mtg to see, compare, and print the decklists with results in tournaments.

The TopX are the following next:

case 1) 8-20 players = top4 in Tcdecks and the final.
case 2) 21-100 players = top8 in Tecdecks and the final.
case 3) 101-200 players =top16 in Tcdecks and the final.
case 4) 201 -infinite players = top32 in Tcdecks and the final.

5. General rules


1) You cannot play any banned card of the format Legacy.
2) The Deck must have 60 cards.
3) The sideboard must have 15 cards.
4) After the first round, you must give your decklist to the staff (judge, Nagato...). Don't worry, if i participate in the league, i don't check the list unless it is necessary.


6. Validity 


This bases are valid as long as the league is in process. The Staff reserves the right to modify, add or delete any text of this bases.
